Eduro Healthcare Adds Second VA Building in Montana

March 1, 2023

Eduro Healthcare assumed operations of the Eastern Montana Veterans Home (EMVH) in Glendive, MT. This is the second veterans home they will be operating in Montana, and the fifth skilled nursing facility for them in the state. The EMVH has 80 Medicare-licensed beds, including 16 special care unit beds, and has been in operation since 1995.

Managing Director Michael Bewsey expressed his excitement about the new addition; “Our team is committed to the Veterans of Montana and we have built one of the best teams in the country to support each facility we operate. Our company has thrived during one of the most operationally difficult times in the history of the industry, and I give our various teams all the credit. We are proud of the relationship we have built with DPHHS and are honored that they continue to trust Eduro to meet the fiscal needs of the State of Montana as well as the physical needs of the Veterans we serve.”

Eduro was selected by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) to open a brand new veterans home in December of 2020. The Southwest Montana Veterans Home (SWMVH) in Butte has seen great success in those two years, including receiving the highest levels of employee satisfaction among Montana’s veteran homes and any state-run facility surveyed*. DPHHS Director Charles Brereton commented on Eduro’s qualification for the additional state facility; “DPHHS has been impressed with Eduro Healthcare’s management of our Veterans Home in Butte, and we are looking forward to expanding this partnership to Glendive.”
