Limiting Facility Access and Visitors Amidst COVID-19
[Salt Lake City, Utah] — Eduro Healthcare is following the developments of the novel coronavirus and the illness it causes, COVID-19. The safety and welfare of our residents and your loved one is our top priority. We are making proactive measures to prevent and, if necessary, defend against the virus through strong monitoring, education, awareness, prevention, and management.
Our Facility is following the recommendations of the CDC on prevention steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, and in many circumstances, wearing gowns and gloves when interacting with residents who are sick. In addition, our facility is in close contact with the local and state health department and are following their guidance.
Currently, the CDC, Local and state health departments are recommending extra precautions to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to older members of our communities and those with chronic medical conditions who are at highest risk of hospitalization and death from infection due to COVID-19. As a result, we are limiting access to our building and all visitation until further notice. Please note that this limitation is not a ban on all visitation but means that visitors and vendors will not be allowed to enter our facility, except in specific circumstances, such as end-of-life circumstances or when it is essential for a resident’s care or emotional well-being.
We take our role in protecting the health of our residents very seriously. As such, we will be screening anyone whose access is considered essential, including employees, and restricting entry into the facility based on the most up-to-date CDC and CMS guidelines. We kindly ask that you respect our efforts to protect your loved one through these limitations.
We understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways you might consider connecting with them. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype or Facebook. We are happy to help accommodate these types of visits. Please contact us for assistance if needed.
